Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud DBA with strong expertise in cloud-based database technologies. The ideal candidate will primarily work with Azure MSSQL and have hands-on experience with other database platforms including Azure PostgreSQL, MongoDB (Atlas), and Databricks. Familiarity with data engineering, data lakes, and cloud data management is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, monitor, and optimize cloud-based databases on Azure.
Design, implement, and maintain Azure MSSQL and PostgreSQL environments.
Work with MongoDB Atlas and other NoSQL databases for application requirements.
Collaborate with data engineering teams on data pipelines, ETL processes, and data lake architectures.
Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
Assist in cloud migration, upgrades, and troubleshooting database-related issues.
Implement best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability in cloud environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
6 to 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator in cloud environments.
Strong expertise in Azure MSSQL administration.
Experience with Azure PostgreSQL, MongoDB Atlas, Databricks, and data lakes.
Knowledge of data engineering concepts and cloud-based data workflows.
Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
Familiarity with Big Data and analytics platforms in Azure.
Certification in Azure Database Services or related cloud technologies.
