Kforce has a client that is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer in Chicago, IL. Summary: We are looking for a motivated and experienced technical leader to be a key player in changing how we deliver technology for our Wealth Corporate Commercial and Institutional Banking businesses. This person will have a direct and far-reaching impact on migrating our large portfolio of applications to Azure Public Cloud. This role requires working across a broad spectrum of technology and stakeholders. β’ Azure Cloud Engineer will partner with application teams on their journey to Public Cloud
β’ Key technical lead and liaison between application teams and enterprise cloud migration initiative
β’ Identify end to end DevOps solutions, leverage best practices and patterns
β’ Self-starter who can pick up new technologies/skills, be comfortable with ambiguity and drive initiatives forward
β’ Roll up sleeves and get teams over tricky CI/CD challenges
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
β’ Minimum 10 years of experience with developing and implementing applications and end-to-end solutions
β’ At least 5 years of progressive experience with the concepts and tools behind the design and implementation of best-in-class CI/CD, application monitoring and resilience on Public Cloud
β’ Database experience - DML/DDL deployment for Microsoft SQL Server (must have), Cassandra (nice to have)
Preferred
β’ Must have hands-on experience deploying and running applications on Public Cloud (Azure preferrable, AWS) from Development through Production
β’ Azure IaaS/PaaS expert experience; Define/create runtime environment, network, storage, etc.
β’ Very strong Interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication
β’ Proven track record with IaC, CI/CD/DevOps/DevSecOps, Test Automation, Supportability
β’ Core toolsets include Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab CI/CD, Jira, Datadog
β’ App Stack Exposure - .NET/Java/Spring, REST, Microservice, React, Docker/K8s. On-prem/Azure and/or AWS.
β’ End to end System Solutioning on Cloud for - Resilience, Security, Performance, Availability, Scalability
β’ Financial Services domain knowledge is highly desirable
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
