Role description
Azure Cloud Engineer | Banking Sector | 6- month contract | Bournemouth (4 days on site) | £740p/day (IIR35) We're looking for a Azure Cloud Engineer to join a leading client in the financial sector on a 6 months contract. This is a hands on, 'doer' role focused on application management and governance within Azure. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering SMEs to produce high-level design documents (HLDD) and support all associated governance processes. This role is not responsible for delivering architecture solutions, but a strong understanding of architecture principles is essential. Duration: 6 months Location: Bournemouth (4 days on-site) Rate: £740 p/day Key Responsibilities: • Manage applications and information assets, ensuring compliance with governance standards. • Implement and maintain application governance policies and frameworks. • Collaborate with architects and SMEs to ensure alignment with architectural standards. • Support the creation, review, and approval of High-Level Design Documents (HLDDs) for the Azure platform. • Coordinate timelines and deliverables with stakeholders. • Facilitate meetings and discussions related to design, governance, and application management. Ideal Candidate Profile: • Proven experience in application management and information ownership. • Strong understanding of application governance and ability to implement best practices. • Familiarity with architecture principles and the process of HLDD creation. • Solid working knowledge of Azure services and cloud concepts. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with SMEs and stakeholders. • Project coordination experience, with the ability to manage timelines and document delivery. • Azure certifications (minimum Azure Fundamentals) are preferred. • Banking/Financial Services experience is essential. Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract. Must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location . Some occasional travel maybe required.
