Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Data Architect to join the Financial Crimes division, focused on building enterprise-grade data solutions to support anti-money laundering (AML) and regulatory compliance initiatives.
This is a technical role that requires strong experience with Azure data architecture, a deep understanding of financial crime frameworks, and direct involvement in regulatory environments such as Payments, Payroll, Wealth Management, Crypto, Commercial Lending, Investment Banking, or similar sectors. Candidates from non-bank institutions are welcome, provided they operate within highly regulated industries and understand how the regulatory system functions in financial contexts.
We are open to strong Data Engineers who have performed architectural responsibilities, as long as they meet the core technical and compliance criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement scalable, secure data platforms and pipelines using Microsoft Azure
Design and build data products that support enterprise-wide adoption and a Data Mesh architecture
Implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Informatica and establish governance frameworks with Collibra
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver AI/BI/analytics and reporting solutions for financial crime use cases, especially AML
Translate complex compliance and regulatory requirements into practical data architecture solutions
Align data strategy with enterprise standards, ensuring data quality, lineage, and governance across domains
Support data modeling, metadata management, and the development of governed datasets for AML and compliance teams
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience working in regulated industries (e.g., Payments, Payroll, Crypto, Commercial Lending, Investment Banking, or other financial/compliance-driven sectors)
Hands-on expertise in Azure (required)
Strong understanding of AML and Financial Crimes (required)
Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, MDM, and Collibra is highly preferred
Familiarity with Data Mesh concepts and distributed data platforms
Databricks experience is a plus, but not required
Ability to translate compliance objectives into scalable data architecture
Comfortable working onsite in Mount Laurel, NJ at least 4 days/week
Willing and able to work within the defined compensation structure
