Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Azure Data Developer for a contract role with a leading organisation in the automotive sector. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and delivering enterprise-grade data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. You'll play a key part in building scalable data pipelines, supporting cloud data architecture, and ensuring data quality, governance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure
• Work closely with architects on data modelling and cloud storage solutions
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps for automated deployment
• Apply best practices in coding, version control, and secure data handling
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot pipeline issues
• Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Skills & Experience Required:
• Strong experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.)
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and API-based data integrations
• Deep understanding of cloud data architecture and security
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
• Familiarity with data governance, monitoring tools, and performance tuning
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
