Azure Data Engineer (SC Cleared) | 6-Month Contract | Remote | £615/day (Inside IR35)
Company Overview
Our client is a leading global technology consulting firm delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes across the public sector. They are looking to appoint an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join one of their delivery teams supporting a high-profile engagement with the National Crime Agency (NCA).
This is an opportunity to work on a long-term government programme, helping to deliver secure, cloud-based data solutions within a complex and highly regulated environment.
Role Overview
As an Azure Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and optimising Azure-based data platforms that support analytics, reporting and machine learning capabilities for the end client. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and developing robust data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory
• Building and maintaining scalable cloud data architectures
• Integrating data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality, reliability and performance
• Supporting Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML) use cases and advanced analytics initiatives
• Optimising data workflows and troubleshooting performance issues
• Collaborating with technical stakeholders across the consulting team and end client
What They're Looking For
• Strong, recent experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory
• Proven background delivering Azure-based data engineering solutions
• Experience working with Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML)
• Strong understanding of cloud data architecture and Azure best practices
• Proficiency with SQL, Python or similar data engineering technologies
• Active SC Clearance is essential
