Role description
Join our team as an Azure Databricks Lakehouse Engineer and help shape the future of a business-critical data platform. You'll serve as the technical authority for our Azure Databricks environment, driving architecture standards, governance, performance optimization, security, and innovation across our Lakehouse ecosystem.
What You'll Do
• Lead and evolve Azure Databricks Lakehouse architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Define best practices, standards, and reusable design patterns.
• Design and review batch, streaming, and ingestion pipelines.
• Optimize performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Drive CI/CD, observability, governance, and data quality initiatives.
• Mentor data engineers through architecture reviews and code audits.
• Evaluate and implement new Databricks capabilities, including AI/BI, Lakeflow, and Delta Live Tables.
What You'll Bring
• Strong experience with Azure Databricks and large-scale Lakehouse environments.
• Expertise in Python, Databricks SQL, and Azure Data Services (ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, Event Hub, Networking).
• Deep knowledge of Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling, SCDs, and ETL frameworks.
• Experience with Unity Catalog, security governance, and data lineage.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Databricks and Azure certifications are a plus.
