About the Role:
As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and delivering infrastructure and automation solutions across Azure cloud environments. You'll collaborate with product and delivery teams to build and maintain platform capabilities, implement DevSecOps principles, and champion best practices that drive delivery efficiency and operational excellence.
You'll work hands-on with tools like Terraform, GitHub, and Azure DevOps to build Infrastructure as Code (IaC), create robust CI/CD pipelines, and develop self-service tooling that empowers delivery teams. You'll also contribute to cloud governance, resilience, and securityβworking closely with the Enterprise Architecture and Cyber Security teams to ensure environments are well-managed and compliant.

As the Azure DevOps Engineer, you will:
β’ Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
β’ Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
β’ Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
β’ Automate platform provisioning and support self-service tooling.
β’ Work closely with delivery teams to troubleshoot, optimise, and evolve cloud environments.
β’ Contribute to logging, monitoring, patching, and resilience strategies.
β’ Collaborate with Architecture and Cyber teams to ensure governance, compliance, and security.
β’ Share knowledge and promote best practice in cloud and DevOps engineering across the wider team.
Requirements
β’ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (some AWS experience is a bonus).
β’ Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
β’ Experience with source control (e.g. GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
β’ Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman.
β’ Scripting or automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Go.
β’ A collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt in an Agile, fast-paced environment.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to engineering excellence.
