Robert Half Technology are assisting a global market leading technology consultancy to recruit an Azure DevOps Engineer on a contract basis - Remote working - UK based - Outside IR35
Role
β’ The Azure DevOps Engineer will design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support the API backbone and other digital initiatives.
β’ Implement best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting across distributed systems.
β’ Work closely with software development teams to embed DevOps principles and support a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
β’ Drive adoption of test-driven development (TDD) practices within CI/CD workflows.
β’ Contribute to the ongoing development of a scalable, resilient digital API infrastructure.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployments and ensure system reliability.
β’ Support the evolution of infrastructure as code and cloud-native automation in Azure.
Profile
β’ The Azure DevOps Engineer will have proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
β’ Strong background in software development (e.g., C#, Java, Python, or similar).
β’ Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
β’ Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., AppInsights, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
β’ Solid knowledge of test-driven development and experience embedding TDD in automated delivery workflows.
β’ Experience working directly within software development teams to support agile delivery.
β’ Familiarity with API-driven architectures, microservices, and integration patterns.
