Your role as Azure DevOps Platform SME You will help design and operationalize Azure DevOps as an enterprise work management and governance platform supporting cross-functional programs and executive reporting. This is not a traditional software engineering role. We are specifically looking for someone with deep hands-on experience configuring and governing Azure DevOps at the platform level β€” beyond simply using boards, repos, or sprint workflows as part of a development team. As an Azure DevOps Platform SME at Bridge Partners, you will partner with business and technical stakeholders to build scalable operating models, establish governance standards, and enable leadership visibility across complex initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong Azure DevOps administration expertise with the ability to create sustainable platform solutions that balance usability, scalability, and maintainability. How you’ll contribute β€’ Configure and manage Azure DevOps organizations, projects, teams, and governance structures β€’ Design and customize work item types, workflows, fields, and inherited process models β€’ Build scalable operating models for program and executive-level work tracking and reporting β€’ Configure permissions, stakeholder access, and security segmentation across multiple programs and teams β€’ Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate operational requirements into sustainable platform solutions β€’ Support dashboards, reporting, traceability, and governance standards that improve visibility across initiatives β€’ Establish best practices for maintainability, scalability, and long-term Azure DevOps platform administration β€’ Support enterprise governance and security design initiatives within complex organizational environments β€’ Enable executive and leadership reporting through scalable Azure DevOps configurations and reporting structures Your skills and experience β€’ Deep hands-on experience administering and configuring Azure DevOps Services in enterprise environments β€’ Experience designing inherited processes and customizing work item workflows β€’ Strong understanding of Azure DevOps governance, permissions, stakeholder access, and security models β€’ Experience supporting enterprise or program-level work management, operational governance, and executive reporting β€’ Ability to balance platform customization with usability, scalability, and long-term maintainability β€’ Strong stakeholder communication, facilitation, and requirements gathering skills β€’ Experience supporting multiple business units, programs, or teams within a shared Azure DevOps environment strongly preferred β€’ Familiarity with Azure DevOps REST APIs, automation, or reporting integrations preferred β€’ Experience supporting PMO governance, executive action tracking, or enterprise portfolio management preferred β€’ Comfortable working within governance-heavy or security-conscious environments β€’ Ability to speak confidently about enterprise governance design, workflow customization, scalable operating models, and stakeholder permission strategies Come join an industry leader and 8-time Best Places to Work award winner! Compensation The hourly pay range for this role is $85 to $100 per hour. The final rate will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant work experience, certifications, education, and geographic location.
