1. Azure Event Hub
Skill Set Requirements
β’ Event Hub Architecture: Understanding concepts such as partitions, throughput units, retention policies, and consumer groups.
β’ Hands-on experience with publishing messages to and consuming messages from Event Hub and using Azure SDKs or azure function triggers
β’ Integration: Knowledge of integrating Event Hub with Azure Stream Analytics, Data Lake for analytics or storage.
β’ Security: Familiarity with authentication methods (Azure Active Directory, SAS tokens) and data encryption in Event Hub.
β’ Monitoring: Ability to use metrics and diagnostic logs for Event Hub health and performance monitoring.
1. Azure Function Apps with Event Triggers
β’ Serverless Computing: Proficiency in developing and deploying serverless applications using Azure Functions.
β’ Event Trigger Configuration: Knowledge of setting up triggers for Azure Event Hub, such as Event Grid subscriptions or telemetry ingestion triggers.
β’ Languages: Experience in Java Azure Functions
β’ Scalability: Ability to design highly scalable solutions leveraging Azure Functions' auto-scaling capabilities.
β’ Error Handling: Expertise in implementing retry policies and error handling mechanisms for robust and fault-tolerant event processing.
1. Publishing and Reading from Storage Queues
β’ Queue Storage Basics: Understanding of Azure Queue Storage for reliable message queuing and decoupling components.
β’ Integration: Ability to integrate applications to publish and read messages from Storage Queues, ensuring asynchronous communication.
β’ Message Processing: Skills in handling message lifecycle (visibility timeouts, poison messages, and duplicates).
β’ API Knowledge: Proficiency in Azure SDKs, REST APIs, or programming libraries (Java) for interacting with Storage Queues.
β’ Performance Optimization: Experience in designing efficient queueing mechanisms to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
Additional Skills
β’ Azure Platform Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Azure ecosystem services like Monitor, Resource Manager, and Identity and Access Management.
β’ Troubleshooting & Debugging: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex cloud-based applications involving Event Hub, Function Apps, or Storage Queues.
