Role description
Duration: 4+ Months
Location: MN-Minneapolis, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite
Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As an Azure Solutions Architect, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities
• Architect and Operate Azure Infrastructure:
• Design and manage Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Logic Apps, Event Hub, and DevOps pipelines
• Cloud Strategy and Governance:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategy, enforce DevSecOps governance, and align with enterprise architecture standards
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Develop and maintain IaC templates for automated provisioning and configuration using tools like ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement IAM roles, access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms to protect production environments
• Performance and Cost Optimization:
• Monitor cloud usage, identify inefficiencies, and propose cost-saving measures (e.g., power cycling IRTs, optimizing resource allocation)
• Release Management Support:
• Participate in Azure DevOps and release support meetings to troubleshoot deployment issues and manage pull requests
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare design documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
• 8–15 years of experience in cloud architecture and operations, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
• Expertise in Azure services: Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, DevOps, Logic Apps, and Analysis Services
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and Spark Pools
• Experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, and release automation
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Experience with AWS and hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000 or the hourly equivalent.
