Hiring Azure Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Enterprise Cloud Job Title: Azure SME – Enterprise Cloud (Azure Landing Zone) Location: Jackson, MS (Hybrid – Onsite from Day 1 / Relocation Required) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Experience: 15+ Years Preferred: Prior State and/or Federal government experience. (Independent visas and candidates with any valid U.S. work visa are open and preferred.) Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale enterprise Azure environment built on Azure Landing Zone and Azure Government Cloud Landing Zone. This role is ideal for a senior cloud professional who can lead architecture, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor internal teams as part of a Cloud Center of Excellence initiative. Responsibilities • Manage and optimize Azure tenants, subscriptions, and landing zone architecture • Design and implement secure, scalable Azure solutions • Troubleshoot complex Azure and hybrid connectivity issues (VPN, ExpressRoute, on-prem integration) • Ensure cloud governance, security, and compliance using Azure Policy & Microsoft Defender for Cloud • Collaborate with Microsoft and vendors for escalations and integrations • Provide mentorship, documentation, and cloud best practice guidance Required Skills • Strong Azure expertise (Compute, Storage, Networking, Entra ID, SQL, Cosmos DB, Functions) • Hands-on experience with Azure Landing Zones & enterprise-scale architecture • Strong Azure networking and hybrid cloud troubleshooting skills • Experience with IaC (Terraform / Bicep / ARM) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) • Strong cloud security knowledge (RBAC, policies, encryption) • Experience with AKS, Docker, and serverless technologies • Azure Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert certification preferred • Excellent communication and mentoring abilities Nice to Have • Government / regulated environment experience (HIPAA, CJIS, IRS 1075) • Azure Arc / multi-cloud exposure • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) 📩 Interested candidates can share their updated resume, work authorization, current location, and availability at: pranav.mehroliya@consultstm.com #Azure #AzureCloud #AzureSME #CloudArchitecture #AzureLandingZone #CloudEngineer #CloudComputing #AzureDevOps #DevOps #Terraform #Bicep #InfrastructureAsCode #HybridCloud #MicrosoftAzure #CloudSecurity #AKS #Hiring #ITJobs #TechJobs #CloudExpert #EnterpriseIT
