Job Title: Azure Technical Advisor (ATA) Location: Redmond/Bellevue, WA (Remote) Duration: Long term contract Microsoft Services help customers realize their full potential through accelerated adoption and productive use of Microsoft technologies. We are a global team of highly dedicated professionals who deliver world class services with partners, earning customer confidence, trust, and loyalty by improving the overall Customer and Partner Experience, serving as the customer advocates within Microsoft and driving customer-centric product improvement. Azure Technical Advisory support is a Microsoft services & support offering targeted at Microsoft for Startups. This is a customer facing role and would require the individual to act as the customer’s advocate. RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY: • Effectively manage large amounts of service requests from Startups across the globe • A deep understanding of Cloud fundamentals and strong experience with Azure solutions development and deployment • Understanding of startups ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs • Drive Cloud Adoption of ISV/startups customers by adding a proactive Azure delivery resource on their utilization & escalations recorded • Strong passion for helping developers connect people and communities through the cloud by demonstrating technical depth in Azure service administration and troubleshooting skills • Handle service request, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution • Guide customers on their Architecture, Design, Deployment & Implementation by quantifying customer experience with active involvement in every new project • Familiarity with cloud deployment and development tools (i.e. PowerShell, Visual Studio, .NET, JSON templates) • Experience working with Microsoft customers on Azure specific solutions, troubleshooting, implementing and adopting new features • Working with other community engineers to ensure a consistent and high-quality level of support on all the reported requests • Develop quick-start and how-to guides helping customer understand complex cloud scenarios by integrating with the respective teams • Being the voice and advocate for our customer, reporting and acting on observed areas for improvement • Collaborating with Engineering and other multi-functional teams on specific user-impacting issues and bugs • Ensure a smooth customer journey and actions to learn and monitor success by removing roadblocks from the initial steps till the framework is in production • Help shape the ongoing strategy and mission of the Azure training program; provide feedback to the business groups and engineering teams • Collaborate across boundaries to present a unified Microsoft front to our customers, including product engineering groups, Microsoft Consulting Services • Knowledge on Microsoft Partner Network (MPN), M365, Microsoft Dynamics & Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) would be an added advantage • Drive auditing of Case Notes and Tagging for future searches in Case tracking tool & maintain Knowledge Base. • Quickly develop client relationships and trust, and ensure client/partner expectations are being set and met • As a global team the role will need the individual to work in flexible workhours across the regions & time zones to support global Startups QUALIFICATIONS: TECHNICAL SKILLS (Preferred/Optional) • Understanding of cloud vs. on premise computing. Solid understanding of fundamentals of cloud computing. • Technical understanding of the Azure Platform and architecture • A strong knowledge of the Microsoft Windows platform • Familiarity with networking concepts including VIPs, NAT, DNS • .NET 3.0/3.5/4.0. • Visual Studio Languages (VB, C/C#/C++) • SQL Azure / SQL Server • Distributed application architecture • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) • Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). • Familiarity with load balancing, geo-redundancy, CDN and VPN technologies preferred • Familiarity with Virtualization concepts and virtual system administration • Familiarity with Hyper-V configuration and administration • Good in prioritization, time management, and has excellent follow through skills SOFT SKILLS • Must be able to quickly develop trust and rapport with customers (most of the time they are of this profile: Enterprise Architects, CxO's, Development & Test Management, IT Directors) • Passion for customer advocacy in technology domain. • Strong communications skills in spoken and written English • Effective, polished interaction with customer, Microsoft Services, Support and Azure development teams at the appropriate technical depth • Ability to work independently • Must be a great Customer advocate EXPERIENCE (Preferred) • 3-7 Years information technology role experience • 3+ Years Systems Development, Network Operations, or Customer Service • 3+ Years in Application development, preferably using cloud platforms. • 2+ Years Azure Development or Azure Support EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION • B.SC, BE, B.
