Role description
Ready to transform how businesses leverage technology? We are on the hunt for a skilled BA - Accounting, ERP (Reconciliation & audit) with in-depth expertise in ERP systems, specifically supporting Accounting and Finance. In this role, you will partner with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to design, implement, and optimize business systems that enable operational efficiency and scalable growth. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with a clear understanding of accounting/finance processes and thrives on bridging business needs with system capabilities.
This position will report to the Director of Business Analysis, work alongside the groupβs other Business Analysts, and coordinate with the Business Systems, IT Operations, and Business Intelligence groups. Interaction and coordination with other departments will be frequent as we align evolving business capability needs with robust, stable technical systems and their corresponding business processes. Gather and document requirements on existing ERP (FDM4), pain points, challenges, and processes. A new SAP S/4HANA ERP project is underway.
Responsibilities
β’ Implement, configure, and maintain ERP and related systems supporting Accounting and Finance functions. BA should be able to perform configuration and be technology aware, but not an engineer who codes.
β’ Partner with Finance and Accounting leaders to understand evolving needs, translate requirements into system solutions, and ensure alignment with best practices and compliance requirements.
β’ Utilize Business Intelligence tools to deliver insights, ensure data integrity, and support process optimization and business growth.
β’ Lead IT aspects of application enhancements, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, training, and post-go-live support.
β’ Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues; test fixes and enhancements to ensure reliability and accuracy.
β’ Build strong relationships with Finance leadership and end users to provide proactive recommendations and identify opportunities for automation or improved system utilization.
β’ Conduct recurring operational reviews to assess system performance, prioritize enhancements, and deliver ongoing improvements.
Desired Qualifications
β’ Strong experience with sales and inventory reconciliation, including high-volume transaction environments and complex data matching across systems.
β’ Hands-on exposure to manual reconciliation processes and a demonstrated ability to help transition those processes into automated or semi-automated solutions within ERP or enterprise ecosystems.
β’ Familiarity with Sales Audit tools or processes, including validation of sales, inventory movement, pricing, promotions, and revenue data.
β’ Experience implementing or supporting ERP or financial systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday Financials), ideally in environments with significant sales and inventory activity.
β’ Solid understanding of Accounting and Finance principles, particularly as they relate to sales, inventory, revenue recognition, GL, and reconciliations.
β’ Experience working within enterprise system ecosystems, including integrations and data flows between ERP, sales systems, inventory systems, and downstream reporting or BI platforms.
β’ Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process documentation, root cause analysis, and solution design.
β’ High level of technical aptitude; able to configure systems and understand data structures without being a software engineer or developer.
β’ Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Experience with SOX, internal controls, or audit/compliance-related system requirements is a plus.
β’ Knowledge of automation tools, workflow engines, or process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus, especially as applied to reconciliation and audit processes.
Benefits
β’ 401(k).
β’ Dental Insurance.
β’ Health insurance.
β’ Vision insurance.
β’ We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity, equality, inclusion, and respect for people.
