Backend Engineer (Python, TypeScript, Data) - Contract - Outside IR35 - Remote UK
We're looking for a solid product minded Backend Engineer contractor to join a start-up client working remotely in the UK.
You should have extensive experience building secure backend systems, data pipelines and data-centric applications from scratch using technologies like Python, TypeScript and GCP (or other Cloud).
Key Points:
• Python and Typescript
• Event based solutions using GCP, Pub/Sub and Cloud Run
• Integrations with external APIs
• SQL and NoSQL data stores
• Implementing IaC with Terraform and manage CI/CD via GitHub Actions
• Setting up observability
• Embracing AI and other tools to boost workflow and innovation
This person is expected to bring extensive knowledge, hit the ground running, take full ownership of the backend and be the base to scale a team around.
