Roles and Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend. - Collaborate with frontend teams to design and integrate APIs, supporting applications such as React Native. - Develop and manage serverless functions within cloud environments like Firebase, AWS, or GCP. - Build and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring efficient data flow and integration across services. - Work with Firestore, MongoDB, and SQL databases to manage data storage and retrieval effectively. - Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices, including code reviews and testing. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle, incorporating DevOps principles. - Communicate effectively with internal teams, providing technical insights and support as needed. - Participate in Agile development processes, utilizing tools like JIRA for task management and Git for version control. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role. - Proven proficiency in Node.js and experience working with serverless architectures in cloud environments. - Strong internal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Experience in building and integrating APIs, with a strong understanding of REST and GraphQL. - Familiarity with Firestore, MongoDB, or SQL databases. - Good spoken and written communication skills in English. - Ability to pass a React test, demonstrating understanding of frontend-backend integration.
