Backend Engineering Consultant Responsibilities: • Develop and sustain backend services for processing financial data such as invoicing, payouts, and reporting. • Build APIs and interfaces for seamless internal and external integrations. • Utilize functional programming principles, primarily in Java, to ensure robust code. • Conduct automated testing and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards. • Monitor and optimize system performance while managing schema updates and remote configurations. Backend Engineering Consultant Qualifications: • Extensive experience as a backend engineer or consultant in financial or accounting environments. • Proficiency in Java, including async and functional programming techniques. • Strong understanding of API design (REST/gRPC) and schema management. • Familiarity with cloud architecture and monitoring tools. • Knowledge of testing methods and CI/CD processes, along with excellent communication skills.
