Backend/Agent Engineer – Python, AI Agents, LangGraph, MCP

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Backend/Agent Engineer with 7–10 years of professional experience to join our team and play a critical role in shaping the future of AI-driven agent platforms. This role requires deep expertise in Python backend engineering and hands-on experience with AI agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph and MCP (Model Composition/Coordination Platform). You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend systems, designing agent orchestration pipelines, and ensuring seamless integration of advanced AI agents into real-world applications. Key Responsibilities 1. Backend System Development • Architect, design, and implement scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django). • Manage SQL/NoSQL databases and optimize backend performance for agent-driven workloads. 1. AI Agent & MCP Integration • Develop, deploy, and orchestrate autonomous AI agents in production environments. • Leverage MCP to coordinate multiple AI models and manage agent workflows with high efficiency and reliability. 1. Agent Orchestration & Workflow Management • Utilize frameworks like LangGraph and MCP to design, compose, and manage complex agent workflows. • Implement state management, multi-agent coordination, and dynamic decision-making pipelines. 1. System Integration • Integrate third-party APIs, external data sources, machine learning models, and vector databases to enhance agent functionality. • Build seamless data pipelines to support retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and intelligent agent reasoning. 1. Performance, Reliability & Monitoring • Implement robust logging, monitoring, and error-handling strategies to ensure high availability and fault tolerance. • Optimize system performance at scale, ensuring low latency and efficient resource utilization. 1. Collaboration & Cross-functional Engagement • Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical designs. • Collaborate with front-end engineers to deliver end-to-end intelligent solutions. 1. Security & Compliance • Apply best practices in data security, privacy, and compliance, especially for sensitive and regulated data environments. • Ensure backend systems adhere to modern compliance frameworks and standards. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong experience in Python backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django). • Solid background in RESTful API design and database management (SQL & NoSQL). • Proven expertise in integrating and orchestrating AI agents, LLMs, or multi-agent systems in production. • Hands-on experience with MCP (Model Composition/Coordination Platform) for AI model coordination. • Familiarity with LangGraph for agent workflow orchestration. • Proficiency in Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Experience with vector databases, scalable distributed systems, and data pipelines. • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications • Background in backend architectures for AI/ML or data-intensive applications. • Experience with knowledge graphs, RAG pipelines, or advanced agent coordination frameworks. • Contributions to open-source projects in the AI/LLM/agent ecosystem. • Prior exposure to modern agent/LLM frameworks beyond LangGraph/MCP.
