Position Overview
This is a remote, part-time consulting role for a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide supervision and professional development support to a designated employee pursuing BCBA certification. The employee is currently completing their supervised fieldwork as required by the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board).
In this role, you will serve as the designated supervisor and co-signer of the Form I-983 Training Plan, working in collaboration with the company to develop and implement a customized supervision contract that meets all BACB requirements. The supervision plan will outline the structure, frequency, format, and content of the supervised fieldwork, along with progress evaluation mechanisms—ensuring the employee’s fieldwork hours are legally and effectively completed.
The core of this role is to provide structured, high-quality, and actionable remote supervision, while maintaining ongoing compliance and effectiveness of the training plan. Your guidance will play a key role in supporting the employee’s legal work authorization and long-term professional growth toward becoming a certified BCBA.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the company to develop and co-sign the Form I-983 Training Plan, outlining supervision goals, learning modules, fieldwork structure, and evaluation methods
• Provide compliant remote supervision in accordance with BACB and SEVP/ICE regulations, including regular check-ins, data review, and performance feedback
• Guide and assist the trainee in completing quarterly progress evaluations, learning reflections, and behavior analysis documentation
• Attend remote meetings monthly or as needed to conduct case reviews, ethics discussions, and quality assurance checks
• Review intervention plans, data summaries, skill acquisition records, and behavior reports; offer constructive feedback and improvement guidance
• Provide clinical decision-making support aligned with the BACB Code of Ethics
• Help establish standards for remote supervision implementation, including supervision frequency, formats, documentation protocols, and training outcome tracking
Required Qualifications
• Active and in-good-standing BCBA certification
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in behavior analysis; prior supervisory experience is preferred
• Familiarity with BACB supervision standards for supervised fieldwork and related ethical guidelines
• Understanding of—or willingness to learn—STEM OPT regulatory requirements and the Form I-983 implementation process
• Ability to effectively conduct remote supervision, including regular meetings, data reviews, documentation, and coordination
• Strong time management, a sense of responsibility, and awareness of cross-cultural communication needs

• Academic or research background, such as university faculty appointment
