RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a BI Consultant. Overview We are seeking a Power BI Developer/BI Consultant to support a People & Culture (HR) organization in building out reporting and analytics capabilities. This role is ideal for a senior-level, hands-on BI professional who can operate independently, develop dashboards, and help enable business users through training and support. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to help establish scalable reporting foundations and influence long-term analytics strategy. Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports from the ground up • Translate defined business requirements into visual, actionable insights • Connect and work with data from multiple systems (e.g., HRIS and third-party platforms) • Perform data transformation and modeling within Power BI • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reports • Help build a small group of internal -power users- to support ongoing reporting needs • Partner closely with business stakeholders and product leadership to execute reporting initiatives • Work from clearly defined requirements (no heavy requirements gathering expected) • Participate in regular check-ins to track progress and priorities • Train business users on Power BI fundamentals and self-service reporting Develop dashboards for: • Executive and board-level reporting (compliance metrics) • Leadership insights (hiring, turnover, workforce trends) • Ongoing and ad hoc reporting needs Provide deeper technical guidance to internal IT partners on: • Data connections • System integrations • Ongoing maintenance best practices REQUIREMENTS: • Strong experience with Power BI (dashboard development, data modeling, DAX) • Solid SQL skills • Ability to work independently in a self-directed, low-oversight environment • Experience building dashboards for executive and operational audiences Preferred: • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or exposure to modern Microsoft data platforms • Familiarity with Python for data analysis (nice to have) Nice to Have: • Experience working with HR/People data (e.g., Workday or similar systems) • A true consultant mindset - someone who can take direction and deliver with minimal handholding • Strong communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to balance hands-on development with user enablement and training • Someone comfortable working in a greenfield environment and building solutions from scratch Additional Details • Initial contract expected to be 3-6 months, with potential to extend • Opportunity for longer-term engagement based on project success and budget approval • Typical interview process: 1-2 rounds The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
