Role description
Randstad is hiring a BI Data Engineer for a 24-month hybrid contract just outside North Carolina’s Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point). This is a backend-heavy role (60–70%) focused on SQL, ETL pipelines, and data modeling, with a front-end component (30–40%) in Power BI (DAX, dashboards, reporting). β€’ β€’ Important β€’ β€’ : Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a W2 basis without current or future sponsorship. Third-party candidates will not be considered. What you’ll be doing: This is a backend-heavy BI/Data Engineering role (60–70%) with ownership across both data pipelines and reporting. β€’ SQL: stored procedures, query optimization, data prep β€’ ETL / Pipelines: SSIS, ADF, or similar tools β€’ Data Warehousing: data modeling, data quality, performance tuning β€’ Power BI: DAX, Power Query, dashboards, and reporting β€’ Cloud: Azure preferred (Databricks exposure is a plus) What we’re looking for: Ideal candidate is someone who can bridge backend data engineering and front-end BIβ€”not just one side. β€’ Strong backend foundation (SQL + ETL + data pipelines) β€’ Hands-on Power BI experience (DAX, modeling, dashboard development) β€’ Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources β€’ Comfortable in a collaborative, stakeholder-facing environment β€’ Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Why this role stands out: You’ll work closely with business and technical teams to build scalable data solutions and deliver meaningful insights, contributing to both new data infrastructure and high-impact reporting.
