Job Opening: Business Intelligence Developer Location: Downtown Chicago - Local Candidates Only Employment Type: Contract - 9 months Rate - 54 w2 no C2C or 3rd party help in any form Our Client's Insights & Analytics team is growing fast, and we’re looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to help us scale our reporting and analytics capabilities.? Role Overview As a Business Intelligence Developer, you’ll build and support front-end reporting solutions and datasets used across the business. You’ll collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver clean, actionable insights. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on SQL and Power BI development. Must-Have Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 7+ years of Power BI experience, including DAX and dataset creation • Strong SQL skills and experience writing complex queries • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI report/dashboard development • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Preferred Skills • Experience with Snowflake • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure • Understanding of data warehousing, ingestion, and modeling concepts • Exposure to other BI, analytics, or data science tools ? Key Responsibilities • Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI • Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources including databases, semantic models, flat files, and spreadsheets • Create semantic models in Snowflake and Power BI • Optimize queries and data models in alignment with BI strategy • Perform data analysis for QA and insight generation • Collaborate with BI team members and cross-functional IT staff • Estimate effort and identify risks for reporting tasks • Enhance user experience through drilldowns, filters, and visualizations • Ensure compliance with security and authentication standards • Support ongoing development and cleanup efforts across multiple project #HYBRID #TECH #Chicago
