You’ll drive modernization of BI environments, deliver scalable solutions, and empower stakeholders with actionable insights across a leading financial services organization.Key Responsibilities: • Manage Tier 2-4 BI support tickets and guide internal and vendor teams. • Provide expert solutions and enhancements for dashboards, scorecards, and reports. • Participate in discovery and design phases for BI projects. • Develop data models, ETL processes, and custom reporting tools. • Design multidimensional semantic layers and BI query objects. • Write advanced SQL, MDX, DAX queries, stored procedures, and user functions. • Analyze and resolve complex report/data issues independently. • Collaborate on reporting projects using SSIS, SSRS, Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI. • Troubleshoot BI system performance issues and ensure optimization. • Certify data accuracy and conduct extensive test validations. • Ensure full compliance with internal policies and data governance. • Contribute to proof of concept work and technology validations. • Execute additional BI development duties as assigned. Required Experience: • Hands-on BI development across full SDLC • SQL (T-SQL, Dynamic SQL, PL/SQL), DAX, MDX query languages • Reporting with Power BI, SSRS, Tableau • BI lifecycle experience in complex, data-rich environments Nice-to-Have Experience: • Financial services, healthcare, or insurance domains • Cloud platforms (AWS, Redshift, Glue, dbt Cloud) • Working in Agile BI or DevOps analytics environments Required Skills: • SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Dynamic SQL) • Power BI / SSRS development • ETL (SSIS, Informatica Power Center, IICS) Preferred Skills: • Python / PySpark • AWS: Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda • Cognos, Tableau • dbt Cloud, Airflow, Kafka • Metadata Manager, Delta Lake Additional Skills: • Apache Iceberg, Airbyte, Spark • Oracle, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, Snowflake • BI support queue management • Data validation and semantic layer design • Vendor BI coordination • Multidimensional modeling • Public sector/retail/insurance BI context Benefits: • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans • 401k Retirement Fund About the Client: A leading financial services organization offering insurance, advice, investments, and asset management.
