Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a BI Engineer in Chesterfield, MO. Responsibilities: β€’ Data Ownership: Own the entire BI and data stack, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and visualization β€’ ELT Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable ELT pipelines to pull data from various sources (e.g., e-commerce platforms, marketing APIs, ERP systems, etc.) into our data warehouse β€’ Data Modeling & Warehousing: Design and implement a logical and scalable data warehouse schema that supports our business intelligence needs; Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance β€’ Visualization & Reporting: Create and maintain compelling and easy-to-understand dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI & Looker; Translate complex data into actionable insights for marketing, finance, operations, and leadership teams β€’ Integration & Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements; Lay the technical groundwork and participate in discussions for future integration with the parent company's data infrastructure β€’ Data Governance & Quality: Implement best practices for data governance, quality assurance, and security to ensure a reliable and trusted data environment β€’ Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to answer specific business questions and provide deep-dive insights into key performance indicators β€’ Documentation: Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of data models, ELT processes, and dashboards Requirements β€’ 3-5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or similar role; Experience with e-commerce or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) data is a plus β€’ Strong experience with ELT/ETL tools and methodologies; Fivetran experience preferred β€’ Hands-on experience with Snowflake & DBT Cloud; Additional cloud data platforms are preferred but not required β€’ Proven experience building dashboards and reports with Power BI & Looker β€’ SQL Proficiency required β€’ Proficiency in a scripting language like Python for data manipulation and automation is a plus β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders β€’ Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take full ownership of the data stack β€’ A proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset with a passion for using data to drive business growth The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
