Overview
Weβre seeking a strategic BI Manager to set the vision and lead a team of four BI Analysts in delivering reporting and analytics solutions that enhance supply chain performance, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive cost optimization. This role requires strong technical proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and Python to ensure high-quality, optimized outputs, along with experience setting BI strategy and shaping reporting direction in support of a major ERP modernization and the nationwide consolidation of distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities
β’ BI Strategy & Direction: Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for BI initiatives across SQL, Tableau, and Python, ensuring alignment with broader supply chain strategies.
β’ Team Leadership: Directly manage and mentor a team of four BI analysts, providing hands-on technical guidance across diverse supply chain analytics initiatives.
β’ Technical Oversight: Oversee end-to-end BI delivery by guiding SQL query optimization, Tableau dashboard architecture, and validation of Python-based predictive models. Review queries and outputs to ensure efficient performance and minimal server load.
β’ Reporting & Data Modeling: Translate complex business requirements into scalable analytical solutions and dimensional data models that support forecasting, performance monitoring, and cost analysis.
β’ Data Quality Management: Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and performance across all data pipelines and reporting outputs within Snowflake and SAP environments. Review queries, reporting logic, and deliverables prior to deployment.
β’ System Migration Leadership: Lead the migration from a legacy ERP to SAP Warehouse Management and the reporting transition to Snowflake. Guide the team in adapting reporting logic to new data structures and workflows.
β’ Stakeholder Collaboration & KPI Alignment: Partner with operations, IT, and business stakeholders to define KPIs, translate business needs into technical solutions, and influence the analytics roadmap.
Qualifications
β’ 8-10 years of hands-on experience in BI analytics and data strategy, with direct management of BI Analyst teams.
β’ Proven experience providing technical guidance on SQL query optimization, Tableau dashboard performance, and Python-based predictive modeling.
β’ Background in supporting enterprise system migrations (ERP, warehouse management, etc.) and adapting BI/reporting environments to support new system architectures.
β’ Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Google BigQuery.
β’ Strong technical proficiency in:
β’ Excel (Advanced): Financial modeling, data manipulation, and executive reporting.
β’ SQL (Advanced): Complex query writing and performance tuning, ideally within Snowflake.
β’ Tableau (Advanced): Dashboard design, performance optimization, and user enablement.
β’ Python: Forecasting and predictive modeling to support operational planning.
