BI Reports Developer

The role involves developing and updating Business Intelligence (BI) reports, as well as communicating actionable insights to enhance corporate decision-making. The candidate should be proficient in managing data, evaluating results, and strategically presenting findings using visualization tools, DAX queries, charts, and data relationships. Additionally, the candidate must comprehend business requirements to establish functional specifications for reporting applications. This position requires independence and judgment to solve data issues effectively. Key Areas of Responsibility & Critical Tasks: - Prototype, design, develop, and publish Power BI reports. - Develop Power BI data models and recommend best practices for report creation and visualizations. - Implement security measures in reports and dashboards. - Troubleshoot reporting issues and optimize report performance. - Ensure adherence to security and access requirements when developing dashboards. - Study, analyze, and comprehend business requirements in the context of business intelligence. - Design and map data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights. - Utilize Power BI to create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports. - Identify key performance indicators with relevant objectives. - Analyze historical and current data to facilitate informed decision-making. - Convert business requirements into technical documentation. - Build multi-dimensional data models. - Develop comprehensive data documentation regarding algorithms, parameters, and models. - Conduct detailed analyses of tested and deployed Power BI scripts. - Run DAX queries and functions in Power BI. Requirements: - A minimum of 8 years of experience in Business Analytics tools, specifically in developing reporting and dashboards. - At least 5 years of experience in reporting and analytics using Power BI (including M Query, DAX, and Data Modeling) and implementing Row Level Security (RLS). - Hands-on experience with SQL. - Strong numerical and analytical skills. - Experience working in an Agile development environment using tools such as Jira. - Excellent communication skills to effectively translate business requirements into dashboards and reports. - A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Applied Mathematics. Job-Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and Azure. - Familiarity with scripting and programming. - Knowledge of SQL Server. - Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics and quantitative analysis. - Experience managing and merging large data sets. - Ability to perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Effective time management and organizational skills. - Rigorous attention to detail in work. - Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. - Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools. - Ability to communicate complex analytical results clearly and concisely. - Previous experience producing credit, revenue, or portfolio analyses is desirable. - Competence in public speaking and presentations. - Self-directed with the ability to prioritize and manage expectations while delivering solutions on time and within budget.
