Big Data Engineer with ETL

Location: Onsite 3 days a wk; Hybrid – Office location is Charlotte NC or Addison TX Required Pay Scale: $60-65hr W2 • • • Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates • • • Role Responsibilities: • Hands-on design and ETL development in Data Warehouse environment. • Work on multiple projects concurrently, take ownership & pride in the work done by them, attending project meetings, understanding requirements, designing solutions, developing code. • Partnering with near shore and offshore teammates in a matrix environment, coordinating with other support teams like L2, development, testing, up/down stream partners, etc., • Work with the Business Analysts to understand the requirements work on high level & detailed design to address the real time issues in production. • Work with Information Architecture team for proposing technical solutions to business problems. • Identify gaps in technology and propose viable solutions. • Take accountability of the technical deliveries from offshore • Solid Understand of Data Warehousing and Dimensional Data Modeling concepts. • Ability to partner with both technology and business associates to implement solutions. • Strong knowledge of project life cycle, Data Warehousing, Dimensional Data Modeling • Ability to multitask and work independently. • Expert Knowledge in Oracle/Exadata • Expert Knowledge Oracle SQL/PLSQL • ETL Processing concepts Experience in handing large data volume and Performance Tuning • Work with the development teams and QA during the post code development phase. • Identify improvement areas within the application and work with the respective teams to implement the same. • Ensuring adherence to defined process & quality standards, best practices, high quality levels in all deliverables. • Adhere to teams governing principles and policies. Required Qualifications: • 8+ year of experience with Big Data/Data warehouse/ ETL • Primary Skill - Manual and automated testing (testing will be done on software) • Informatica • Oracle • Hadoop • Teradata About Matlen Silver Experience Matters.
