BigID Data Engineer

Job Title: Application/Data Engineer – BigID Location: Brooklyn, OH (Remote) Duration: Contract Eligibility: USC / GC Experience: 8–10 years Domain: Banking (required) Role Summary Seeking an experienced BigID Application Engineer to support enterprise data discovery, classification, and privacy initiatives. The role focuses on BigID platform implementation, cloud integrations, and data governance compliance across AWS and GCP environments. Key Responsibilities • Design, configure, and maintain BigID integrations with databases, cloud storage, data warehouses, and APIs • Configure discovery policies, classifiers, and connectors for GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA compliance • Implement and optimize data discovery and classification workflows • Develop custom metadata enrichment and governance rules • Troubleshoot BigID performance, ingestion, and classification issues • Collaborate with governance, privacy, security, and compliance teams • Create technical documentation and mentor junior engineers • Coordinate with BigID vendor support and stay current with product updates Required Skills • Strong hands-on experience with BigID (certification preferred) • Experience with AWS and GCP • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance • API and data source integration experience • Understanding of IAM, networking, and cloud storage fundamentals • Ability to work independently in an agile environment Preferred Skills • Python and/or Shell scripting • Experience in data privacy, risk, or security initiatives
