Role description
Position: BIM Developer Location: Remote Rate: Competitive Length: 6-months (extension thereafter) About the Role We are seeking an experienced BIM Developer with strong expertise in C#, .NET, and Autodesk platforms to design, develop, and maintain custom BIM solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to enhance workflows, integrate systems, and deliver innovative applications that optimize the use of BIM technology across our projects. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and optimize custom BIM tools, plug-ins, and APIs for Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Forge. • Design and implement software solutions using C# and .NET frameworks to improve project workflows and data interoperability. • Integrate BIM models with third-party applications, databases, and cloud platforms. • Collaborate with BIM managers, designers, and engineers to understand project needs and translate them into functional tools. • Automate repetitive modeling and documentation tasks to enhance productivity. • Support clash detection, model validation, and data extraction workflows. • Ensure software quality through testing, debugging, and documentation. • Stay up to date with emerging BIM technologies and best practices to drive innovation within the organization. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field. • Proven experience developing BIM-related applications with C# and .NET. • Hands-on expertise with Autodesk Revit API, Autodesk Forge, and Navisworks API. • Strong understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and interoperability. • Experience with cloud services, REST APIs, and database integration is a plus. • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles for custom tool development. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Preferred Skills • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Dynamo for Revit). • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development practices. • Knowledge of construction technology trends (Digital Twins, IoT, AR/VR for BIM). • Understanding of IFC and openBIM standards.
