Job Description
CCL are currently working with a leading organisation within the public sector who are seeking an experienced Building Information Modelling (BIM) Manager for a long-term contract opportunity. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Asset Information Management (AIM) across a large and complex property portfolio, ensuring the effective delivery, governance and management of digital asset information throughout the project lifecycle.
Location: Hybrid at one of the regional government hub offices: Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Blackpool or Glasgow (3 days from office, 2 days from home)
Type of Contract: Until March 2027 (Inside IR35)
Key duties will include:
• Leading the implementation and management of BIM processes across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practice.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of asset information requirements, employer information requirements and digital handover processes.
• Managing BIM assurance activities, including model reviews, audits and quality validation.
• Ensuring digital information is accurately transferred into asset and facilities management systems to support ongoing operations.
• Promoting the effective use of Common Data Environments (CDE) across project teams and external partners.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors to drive BIM adoption and continuous improvement.
• Providing technical leadership and guidance on BIM standards, information management and digital delivery.
• Supporting the development of key performance measures and identifying opportunities to enhance digital processes and asset information management.
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation, procedures and reporting relating to BIM and information management activities.
• Supporting the successful delivery of projects to agreed quality, programme and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
• Relevant qualification in Construction, Building Information Modelling, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience delivering BIM strategies and managing information in accordance with BS EN ISO 19650.
• Strong knowledge of Asset Information Requirements (AIR), Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), COBie and IFC data standards.
• Extensive experience undertaking BIM quality assurance, model validation and compliance reviews.
• Advanced proficiency using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience integrating BIM deliverables with CAFM, IWMS or other asset management platforms.
• Strong understanding of Common Data Environment (CDE) processes and information governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring BIM professionals or digital delivery teams.
• Strong communication, organisational and technical documentation skills.
Desirable:
• Experience working within large estates, facilities management or asset management environments.
• Knowledge of digital workflow development and process improvement.
• Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Asite, Viewpoint or ProjectWise.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Power BI.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, Solibri or similar BIM technologies.
• Understanding of digital asset management, digital twins and information management within complex estates.
