Job Overview
We are seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst to support computational research initiatives in oncology drug discovery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in NGS data analysis, R programming, and a solid understanding of cancer biology or immuno-oncology. This role is fully remote and highly collaborative, working closely with cross-functional discovery teams.
Responsibilities
• Analyze large-scale omics datasets (e.g., RNA-seq, WES) to identify biological insights
• Support experimental teams by advising on study design and interpreting data
• Query public and internal cancer genomics resources
• Communicate findings to teams with varying scientific backgrounds
• Contribute to early- to late-stage oncology discovery programs
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Cancer Biology, or related field
• OR Master’s with 1–3 years of industry experience
• OR Bachelor’s with 6–8 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in NGS analysis (RNA-seq, WES, etc.)
• Proficiency in R (data visualization with ggplot2, plotly, etc.)
• Experience with Linux, HPC clusters, or AWS
• Background in oncology, with preference for immuno-oncology or immunology
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with single-cell platforms, spatial omics, CRISPR screens, or proteomics
• Familiarity with public genomics databases: TCGA, GTEx, GEO, GDC, ENA/EBI
• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Workflow/pipeline development for omics data
