Role description
We are seeking a skilled Bioinformatics Analyst to support computational research initiatives in oncology drug discovery. This role involves analyzing large-scale cancer genomics datasets, evaluating internally generated omics data, and providing insights to guide experimental design and program strategy. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with research teams to deliver high-quality, actionable computational results that drive oncology research programs forward.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Perform analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including RNAseq and WES.
β’ Query large-scale cancer genomics resources and assess internal omics datasets to derive biological insights.
β’ Communicate computational findings to multidisciplinary research teams.
β’ Support experimental design through data-driven recommendations.
β’ Contribute to ongoing discovery-stage drug pipeline programs.
Required Qualifications:
β’ PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, computer science, cancer biology, immunology, or related field; OR Masterβs degree with 3β5 years of experience; OR Bachelorβs degree with 6β8 years of experience.
β’ Hands-on experience with NGS data analysis (RNAseq, WES).
β’ Proficiency in R (Python preferred).
β’ Experience with Linux, HPC clusters, or AWS computing environments.
β’ Strong oncology background, ideally with knowledge of immuno-oncology or cancer genomics.
β’ Excellent data visualization skills (e.g., ggplot2, plotly).
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Familiarity with public genomics repositories (GDC, SRA/GEO, ENA/EBI, TCGA, GTEx).
β’ Experience with single-cell platforms, spatial omics, proteomics, or CRISPR screens.
β’ Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
β’ Workflow development and computational pipeline optimization expertise.
Pay Range: $50/hr to $55/hr
