Job Summary • Develop, support, and manage Yocto-based embedded Linux build systems for IoT platforms (Debian/Ubuntu). • Customize Linux distributions using Yocto tools and bitbake recipes. • Troubleshoot build failures and provide timely solutions. • Research and integrate new technologies to improve automation and build infrastructure. • Design, implement, and maintain secure automation for development, test, and production environments. • Manage infrastructure security, monitoring, and maintain detailed documentation of processes and protocols. • Provide guidance on cloud and on-premises security best practices (IAM, network segmentation, encryption, system hardening). • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Artifactory, etc.) for embedded software projects. • Use scripting languages (Python, Bitbake, Bash) for automation and build processes. • Collaborate with QA and product security teams to ensure compliance and security. • Employ best practices in version control (Git) and infrastructure as code. • Mentor team members on security and automation best practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve engineering tools, processes, and data security. • Actively participate in team meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and knowledge sharing sessions. • Maintain technical curiosity and demonstrate ongoing growth. • Utilize monitoring, logging, and analytics tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Datadog) and container/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). • Generate Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) via build pipelines. • Work with automation/infrastructure management tools (Ansible, Terraform); familiarity with Wix/InstallShield is a plus. • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; Cloud and Security certifications are a plus. • Must have 5+ years’ experience in CI/CD for Linux-based embedded software, strong communication, collaboration, and experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
