The team’s mission is to explore and validate blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) solutions relevant to Fidelity’s business and the broader financial industry. As a tight-knit team of technologists and domain experts, we blend technical depth with business insight to unlock value through emerging decentralized technologies.
What You’ll Do

Your Key Accountabilities
• Blockchain Assessment & Advisory: Evaluate blockchain platforms and protocols for enterprise use, focusing on scalability, performance, security, and interoperability.
• Tokenization Strategy: Design and assess tokenization frameworks for regulated financial products, such as mutual and money market funds.
• Solution Review: Provide critical evaluation of vendor and partner solutions for DLT implementation; perform risk assessments.
• Architecture & Standards: Develop and maintain architectural standards, security models, and integration blueprints for blockchain systems.
• Development & Integration: Deliver hands-on smart contract development and integration with enterprise systems; collaborate closely with vendors and act as an individual contributor where needed.
• Thought Leadership: Represent Fidelity in industry forums, publish white papers, and lead internal knowledge-sharing on blockchain and digital asset trends.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with business, compliance, and technical stakeholders to align blockchain solutions with enterprise strategy and regulatory expectations.
• Technology Scouting: Monitor emerging technologies in blockchain including zero-knowledge proofs, oracles, custody, interoperability, and DeFi applications.
Your Skills and Experience
Required:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years in enterprise IT or software engineering, including 3+ years with blockchain/DLT.
• Proficient in Ethereum, Hyperledger, or comparable platforms.
• Hands-on experience developing smart contracts (e.g., Solidity) and integrating blockchain with enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with financial services, particularly in asset management and fund distribution.
• Proven ability to design or evaluate tokenization use cases.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
• Experience working with financial regulators or in a regulated financial environment.
• Awareness of industry initiatives like Project Guardian, Project Jura, and the Tokenized Funds Working Group.
• Understanding of stablecoins, CBDCs, or DeFi in the context of traditional finance.
