📍 Hybrid / Remote with periodic onsite 🕒 Long-Term Contract (12–24+ months) 🏭 Industry: Steel Manufacturing / Steel Fabrication 🔄 ERP Transformation: Legacy AS400 → Microsoft Dynamics 365 About the Role We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong Manufacturing Finance expertise to support a large-scale ERP transformation from AS400 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 within a complex steel fabrication manufacturing environment. This is a highly visible role partnering with Finance leadership, Operations, IT, and external implementation partners to ensure accurate translation of financial processes, costing structures, reporting, and controls into the new ERP platform. The ideal candidate understands how manufacturing transactions drive financial outcomes and can confidently support data validation, reporting development, and audit readiness throughout the implementation lifecycle. Key Responsibilities 🔹 Lead finance-focused business analysis for ERP implementation including: • Documenting current-state accounting and manufacturing finance processes • Supporting design and validation of future-state workflows in D365 Finance & Operations • Ensuring accurate mapping of journal entries, subledger activity, and production transactions 🔹 Manufacturing Finance & Costing • Analyze and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and production costing logic • Support implementation of: • Standard costing / job costing • Work-in-process accounting • Inventory valuation and variance analysis • Production and consumption postings • Partner with Accounting to ensure proper financial integration from shop floor to GL 🔹 Reporting & Data Analysis • Develop and validate financial and operational reporting using: • Crystal Reports • SQL-based reporting solutions • D365 reporting tools • Perform data reconciliation between AS400, Oracle environments, and D365 • Write SQL queries to analyze transaction flows, table structures, and financial tie-outs 🔹 Audit & Controls Support • Prepare Confidence Documents and supporting schedules for external auditors • Assist with documentation of financial controls and system logic • Support data migration validation and financial conversion activities Required Experience ✅ 7+ years Business Analyst experience supporting ERP implementations ✅ Strong background in Manufacturing Finance / Cost Accounting ✅ Experience working in steel manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial environments ✅ Hands-on experience with legacy ERP environments such as AS400 ✅ Advanced SQL skills and understanding of relational data structures ✅ Experience with financial reporting tools (Crystal Reports or similar) ✅ Exposure to Oracle systems or integrations ✅ Strong understanding of: • Bill of Materials • Journal entries and financial postings • Inventory and production accounting • Financial data reconciliation
