Business Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst with strong analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail to support a range of upcoming strategic initiatives. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between business objectives and technology solutions, with a key focus on vendor implementations and support of renewable energy projects, including wind energy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in the systems analyst discipline, possess hands-on experience translating complex business needs into actionable system requirements, and bring strong collaboration and communication skills to a multi-disciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: • Act as a consultant to internal business partners on technology and process solutions. • Facilitate discovery, development, and implementation of viable technology solutions by working with internal teams, external vendors, and business partners. • Lead and document requirements workshops, translating business needs into functional specifications and test cases. • Work hands-on with internal and external stakeholders during vendor system implementations. • Write functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and conduct gap analyses. • Create and execute test cases and support system integration and user acceptance testing. • Write basic scripts and work with technologies aligned with .NET framework. • Interface effectively with developers, QA analysts, business SMEs, and project managers. • Provide regular updates to IT leadership and business stakeholders. • Train users and support personnel on new or updated system functionalities. Must-Have Qualifications: • Experience with vendor implementations — actively participated in or led multiple successful vendor system rollouts. • Proven experience developing detailed specifications from business requirements, supporting their implementation by development teams. • Hands-on experience as a Systems Analyst in a professional IT environment. • Strong scripting ability and understanding of .NET technologies. • Structured, methodical Systems Analyst skillset, including: • Requirements elicitation and documentation • Workshop facilitation • Use case and user story creation • Testing and QA collaboration Soft Skills & Team Fit: • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively in cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams. • Self-starter with high accountability and commitment to deliver quality results. • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability. • Comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving environments. Nice to Have: • Experience or knowledge of the power/utility industry. • Passion or interest in renewable energy, particularly wind energy. • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments. Preferred Qualifications: • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Systems Analyst. • Bachelor’s degree preferred – ideally in IT, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
