Role description
Business Analyst – Cloud Maturity Remote (with occasional travel to London or Manchester) Outside IR35 - initial 3 Months (poss extension) We're working with a financial services client who are going through the final approval stages for additional project resources. With this in mind, we’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major programme focused on cloud adoption and digital transformation. This role requires someone who understands how organisations progress through different stages of cloud maturity and can translate that into actionable requirements, roadmaps, and business outcomes. The Role β€’ Work closely with programme leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders to assess current cloud maturity and shape the roadmap for improvement. β€’ Elicit, document, and validate requirements related to cloud adoption, optimisation, and transformation initiatives. β€’ Support decision-making by aligning technical progress (e.g. automation, DevOps, governance) with business objectives (agility, resilience, cost efficiency). β€’ Help define and embed new operating models and processes as the organisation matures in its cloud journey. β€’ Contribute to workshops, stakeholder engagement, and business case development. Key Skills & Experience β€’ Proven track record as a Business Analyst on large-scale cloud adoption / transformation programmes. β€’ Strong understanding of cloud maturity frameworks (e.g. Gartner, Forrester, CMMI-style models) and ability to apply them pragmatically. β€’ Experience translating cloud capabilities into measurable business outcomes. β€’ Excellent stakeholder engagement skills – able to work across both business and technology teams. β€’ Strong documentation, analysis, and communication skills. β€’ Knowledge of cloud strategy, governance, cost optimisation, and operating model change. Nice to Have Ideal candidates will also have experience supporting cloud operating model design, working alongside solution architects and programme leads, and contributing to governance and cost optimisation initiatives. Familiarity with AWS or Azure platforms, agile delivery environments, and business case development for digital transformation will be an advantage. Contractors who have operated across both business and technical domains - helping to translate cloud capabilities into tangible business value - are particularly interesting. Experience of financial service or wider regulated environments is preferred. Contract Details β€’ Outside IR35 β€’ Remote working with occasional on-site presence (London or Manchester) β€’ Initial 3 months with potential for extension β€’ No sponsorship available
