Business Analyst | Ashford, England
We're working with a global leader in food distribution and supply chain logistics on this exciting opportunity. This is a critical 12-month fixed-term contract where you will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution during a period of significant digital transformation.
As the Business Analyst for Supply Chain & Merchandising, you will be the driving force behind high-impact IT solutions, translating complex needs into actionable technical requirements. This role offers the chance to influence European-wide operations while mastering the lifecycle of change management within a fast-paced, enterprise technology environment.
The Role
โข Lead the end-to-end requirements gathering process for Supply Chain and Merchandising tech projects, translating stakeholder needs into functional and non-functional specifications.
โข Design and document detailed process maps, flow diagrams, and user stories to illustrate complex business workflows and technical outcomes.
โข Own the quality assurance cycle by documenting comprehensive test scenarios, technical scripts, and user acceptance criteria to ensure seamless delivery.
โข Facilitate high-energy workshops using MoSCoW prioritisation to align business stakeholders and technical developers on project scope.
โข Act as the cross-functional liaison, managing small-scale changes and maintaining the "consistent thread" from initial concept through to BAU handover.
What You'll Need
โข Proven experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within Supply Chain, Logistics, Merchandising, or large-scale Retail environments.
โข Expert-level proficiency in requirement elicitation techniques and business process modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, or Jira/Confluence).
โข A track record of using MoSCoW and other prioritisation frameworks to manage complex project backlogs.
โข Strong technical documentation skills, with the ability to draft clear functional designs and detailed test scripts for technical teams.
โข exceptional relationship management skills and the flexibility to potentially travel to European sites to engage with diverse stakeholder groups.
