Duration: 3 Months (Up to 592 Hours)
Job Description:
We are hiring a Business Analyst 3 for the Texas Department of Agriculture. This is a senior-level role requiring strong experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and quality assurance within application/software development environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements
• Translate requirements into user stories
• Analyze policies and procedures impacting system functionality
• Perform QA on user stories (acceptance criteria & NFRs)
• Develop training materials and support end-user training
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities
• Assist in preparing project deliverables (charter, plans, test plans, risk plans)
• Troubleshoot application issues and recommend solutions
• Develop and execute test cases
• Manage scope, UAT, deployment, and change requests
• Coordinate with vendors and manage invoicing
Required Skills:
• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience
• Strong experience with User Stories & Agile methodologies
• Experience in QA / Manual Testing
• Knowledge of SDLC
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Licensing Systems
• Understanding of License Lifecycle Management
• Experience working with State/Government agencies (Texas preferred)
