Key Responsibilities • Requirements Elicitation & Documentation: Lead various elicitation techniques (JAD, interviews, shadowing) to understand the true business need. Produce thorough User Stories with sufficient Acceptance Criteria and detailed specifications. • Systems Analysis & Design: Understand how changes impact the entire system. Provide design support and make recommendations for the logical design of system enhancements. Work with Technical Leads to communicate business requirements through the elicitation of additional technical requirements. • Integration Focus: Gather detailed integration requirements for data, including identification and assessment of data sources, and creation of source/target mappings. • Problem Solving & Triage: Provide problem-solving and triage support for urgent production break fix resolution. Balance multiple complex assignments with minimal assistance. • Methodology & Mentorship: Ensure SDLC processes are followed across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies. Mentor and guide junior team members to grow their BSA skillset. • Business Strategy: Support project requests by examining build vs. buy options and conducting cost/benefit analysis to align with strategic business goals. Required Qualifications Skill Area Minimum Experience Key Expertise SDLC/Methodologies 5 Years Full SDLC experience on Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies. Requirements 3 Years Writes clear, measurable requirements as User Stories with Acceptance Criteria. Creates and maintains documentation (business processes, system functionality). Interface/Integration 3 Years Experience writing interface requirements and documentation such as source to target mapping. Analysis & Problem Solving 3 Years Balances multiple complex assignments. Accurately tracks down the source of problems, analyzes them, and identifies needed activities. Facilitation & UAT 3 Years Facilitates, leads, and participates in effective meetings (JAD sessions) and facilitates UAT planning and execution. Data Query 2 Years Writes basic SQL queries (select statements only) to find, analyze, and summarize data findings. Technical Concepts N/A Proven knowledge of Web Application Concepts and Client/Server Application Concepts. Highly Desired Skills • Experience as a BSA supporting or implementing HR and/or eCommerce systems. • Experience using Atlassian JIRA to manage requirements. • Ability to read and interpret vendor API information.
