Role description
Business Analyst We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Business Analyst to support a range of technical initiatives, including SaaS and COTS implementations, large‑scale software development efforts, and system upgrades. This role operates within structured project management and governance frameworks and plays a key part in integrating security, operational components, and cross‑functional requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, collaborates effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and leverages AI tools to enhance analysis, documentation quality, and overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Review, analyze, and evaluate business processes, systems, and user needs • Support requirements gathering, documentation, and validation across business and technical teams • Document AS‑IS and TO‑BE process flows and identify improvement opportunities • Assist with financial planning, coordination activities, and process optimization recommendations • Serve as a liaison between business units, technical teams, vendors, and leadership • Facilitate discussions among groups with differing priorities or requirements • Create and maintain project artifacts (BRDs, Use Cases, UAT Plans, test scripts) • Draft statistical and analytical reports to support decision‑making • Perform data analysis using Excel, Tableau, and similar tools • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels • Use AI tools to streamline analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency Required Skills & Experience (1–3 Years) • Experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes and user needs • Familiarity with IT SDLC processes • Experience documenting AS‑IS and TO‑BE workflows • Ability to gather both business and technical requirements • Experience acting as a liaison between business and IT teams • Ability to educate business units on standardized processes • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including with executive‑level staff • Skilled in facilitating meetings with internal and external stakeholders • Experience collaborating with technical and functional teams to develop BRDs, technical specifications, UAT plans, scripts, and related documentation • Experience writing test cases and supporting User Acceptance Testing • Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, and other data analysis tools • Experience conducting fit/gap analysis and estimating implementation effort • Strong interpersonal skills and creative problem‑solving abilities Core Competencies • Requirements documentation • Process mapping • Stakeholder coordination • Risk identification and awareness • Clear and concise communication • Collaborative mindset What We Offer • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting public sector initiatives • Collaborative, mission‑driven work environment • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and accident insurance, disability insurance, and more This is a long‑term, multi‑year contract engagement onsite in Austin, TX.
