IT Business Systems Analyst II (Medicare/Medicaid)
📍 Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite)
💼 Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6+ Months)
💰 Pay Rate: $30–$39/hour on W2
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Business Systems Analyst II with a strong background in the healthcare industry, preferably supporting Medicare and/or Medicaid initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, support system implementations, and ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, QA, and project teams throughout the SDLC.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Review test plans, test cases, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate solutions and assist with deployment activities.
• Develop process documentation, workflows, and training materials.
• Mentor junior team members and support continuous process improvement.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 4+ years of IT Business Analyst experience.
• Healthcare IT experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid systems.
• Strong experience with requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with SQL, XML, JSON, or similar technologies.
• Experience reviewing test plans, test cases, and project documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Visio.
• Experience supporting API integrations or Automated Processing Systems.
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based platforms.
• Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
• Exposure to AI tools used for automation, analytics, or decision support.
Required Certification
Candidates must hold at least one active certification:
• CSPO
• A-CSPO
• PMI-ACP
• CSP-PO
Preferred Qualifications
• Medicare/Medicaid payer experience.
• Healthcare claims, eligibility, or enrollment systems experience.
• SAFe, CBAP, or similar certification.
• Experience working in large enterprise healthcare environments.
