Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support oncology data initiatives, including data lake capabilities, computational workflows, and technology-enabled solutions. This role will partner with business, scientific, and technical teams to gather requirements, improve processes, and support successful delivery of data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong Business Analyst experience, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to work with complex data environments. Pharma/Life Sciences experience is preferred. Location: Remote (East Coast Time Zone) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Key Responsibilities • Gather, analyze, document, and manage business requirements. • Partner with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders to define solutions. • Translate business needs into user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria. • Support oncology data platforms, computational workflows, and data-related initiatives. • Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements. • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement discussions. • Support Agile/Scrum delivery processes, including backlog refinement and sprint activities. • Assist with testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Create and maintain process documentation and business artifacts. • Support change management and adoption of new solutions. Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience as a Business Analyst. • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements. • Experience working with cross-functional teams. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC methodologies. • Experience with process mapping and gap analysis. • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into business decisions. • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau. Preferred Experience • Pharma/Life Sciences experience. • Oncology or healthcare data experience. • Experience supporting data platforms, data lakes, or analytics initiatives. • Experience with computational or bioinformatics workflows. • Experience with cBioPortal or similar scientific data platforms. Soft Skills • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams. • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills. • Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment. Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field preferred.
