Role description
Key Responsibilities • Perform data and process analysis to identify errors, anomalies, and root causes while partnering with data owners to improve data collection, generation, and business processes. • Analyze and identify new data sources for integration into Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, performing attribute-level profiling and documenting match-merge rules. • Create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), business process documentation, and technical metadata to support system enhancements and stakeholder communication. • Support enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives using Informatica tools, including Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), for data profiling, cleansing, standardization, reconciliation, mapping, and transformation. • Design logical and physical data models using SQL Developer and Snowflake to support enterprise data architecture and reporting initiatives. • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex data quality issues across multiple environments using data modeling and dimensional modeling techniques. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, HHS subject matter experts, and technical teams to document current-state and future-state business processes and data requirements. • Develop data quality scorecards, source system trust metrics, and attribute profiling reports to support data governance initiatives. • Write complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets, validate data integrity, and support business reporting and decision making. • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data quality metrics while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of enterprise reporting. • Develop user documentation, training materials, and demonstrations to support adoption of new MDM capabilities and business processes. • Support Agile project execution by utilizing JIRA for project tracking while partnering with development and reporting teams to deliver business solutions. Day to Day Responsibilities • Analyze healthcare and enterprise data, including ADT and CDA message formats, to support integration, interoperability, and reporting initiatives. • Perform data profiling, validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and transformation activities across multiple data sources. • Develop and execute SQL queries to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and support business analysis requests. • Create and maintain process documentation, metadata, reporting documentation, and technical specifications. • Utilize Informatica, Snowflake, SQL Developer, Tableau, Excel, PowerPivot, SharePoint, Access, Word, and PowerPoint to support data management and reporting activities. • Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams to gather requirements, validate solutions, and support project deliverables. • Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to improve data integrity. • Maintain reporting dashboards and scorecards while supporting ongoing business intelligence and analytics initiatives. • Participate in project meetings, status updates, and requirements sessions while supporting project managers and technical teams. • Develop a deep understanding of enterprise data sources, collection methodologies, and data pipelines to support strategic reporting and analytics. Preferred Experience and Attributes • Experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Project Manager supporting enterprise data initiatives. • Strong experience with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and implementations. • Hands-on experience with Informatica, including Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), ETL processes, and data integration. • Advanced SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing large relational databases. • Experience with Snowflake, SQL Developer, Tableau, Excel, PowerPivot, SharePoint, Access, and Microsoft Office applications. • Experience creating BRDs, TRDs, process flows, business documentation, and technical specifications. • Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, metadata management, and data governance best practices. • Experience supporting healthcare data environments, including ADT and CDA message standards, is highly preferred. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams. • Experience working in Agile environments utilizing JIRA or similar project management tools. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
