The QA Analyst will be responsible for assessing the quality of software products and ensuring they meet the required standards before deployment. The ideal candidate should be experienced in creating and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop test strategies and plans
• Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases (manual and/or automated)
• Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA)
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve defects
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies (if applicable)
• Ensure testing activities comply with company standards and guidelines
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools
• Report on test progress and quality metrics to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
• Basic understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman for API testing)
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• ISTQB or equivalent certificate
