Hi Everyone, Greetings from ASH Global Software Job Title: Business Analyst (EPIC) Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 2 days remote, 3 days onsite: Mon, Tues & Thurs) Duration: 6+ Months Note: Only candidates local to Austin, TX (within a 50-mile radius) will be considered. Must Have: 3+ years knowledge of SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF eligibility rules. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Job Summary The Business Analyst (EPIC) will analyze business objectives, processes, and systems to identify improvements and develop solutions that align with organizational needs. The role involves gathering requirements, performing cost/benefit analyses, documenting workflows, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and system functionalities. This individual will be responsible for writing Epics and User Stories with acceptance criteria, facilitating workshops, analyzing data flows, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams. The analyst will also document current state processes, propose enhancements, and support system implementations. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Key Responsibilities • Understand business objectives, analyze operational procedures, and identify pain points. • Elicit, document, and translate business requirements into actionable Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria. • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to ensure requirements align with system capabilities. • Conduct studies and cost/benefit analyses of alternative solutions. • Write detailed functional and technical documentation including BRDs, data mapping specifications, and process flows. • Review system capabilities and scheduling limitations to evaluate feasibility of requested changes. • Design and present visual data models, dashboards, and reports. • Lead workshops and meetings to gather requirements, document outcomes, and drive resolution of issues. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Minimum Requirements • 10+ years hands-on experience as a Business/Data Analyst in IT. • 10+ years proven collaboration with technical & non-technical teams to solve data-driven business problems. • 10+ years' experience designing and optimizing data workflows and processes using modeling/mapping tools. • 10+ years expertise in writing Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria. • 8+ years' experience creating and maintaining documentation (data dictionaries, BRDs, data mapping specs). • 8+ years' experience designing and presenting visual data models/dashboards. • 8+ years' experience leading data-focused meetings and resolving data-related issues. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 4+ years proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. • 3+ years knowledge of SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF eligibility rules. • 3+ years' experience applying state and federal policy within integrated eligibility case management systems.
