Job Title:Business Analyst – Airline Operations (Load Planning, Aerodata, Crew Pay)
Location: Dallas,TX/Hybrid
Role Summary
We are looking for deep domain Business Analysts with strong experience in airline operations, specifically in Load Planning, Takeoff Performance (Aerodata), and/or Crew Pay systems. The BA will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate complex operational rules into clear requirements and user stories.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage with airline operations, flight ops, and crew management stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize requirements
• Analyze and document business processes, rules, and edge cases for:
• Aircraft Load Planning & Weight and Balance
• Takeoff Performance and Aerodata-related calculations/workflows
• Crew Pay rules (pay codes, premiums, duty-day rules, overtime, allowances, etc.)
• Write clear BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Partner with developers and QA to ensure requirements are understood, testable, and traceable
• Support UAT, defect triage, and production validation from a business/functional standpoint
• Create and maintain process flows, data mappings, and configuration documents
Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years as a Business Analyst in airline / aviation domain
• Hands-on experience with at least one of:
• Load Planning / Weight & Balance systems
• Takeoff Performance / Aerodata
• Crew Management / Crew Pay systems
• Strong experience writing user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Ability to work with both business users and technical teams (dev/QA)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
• Experience working with AWS-based or modern microservices environments
• Prior involvement in large airline transformation / migration projects
• Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, ALM
