Business Analyst – Asset Management, Front-Office Systems

Stratfield is seeking a Functional Business Analyst with hands-on Aladdin experience to support front-office teams through a platform migration and ongoing BAU feature adoption. You will partner with portfolio managers, compliance, risk, and trading to capture requirements, design workflows, coordinate UAT/data validation, and drive end-user training and adoption. This is a contract role scheduled through the end of 2025 with possible extensions. Sorry, sponsorship is not available for this opportunity. Responsibilities: • Lead requirements elicitation and process design for front-office Aladdin workflows with PMs, Compliance, Risk, and Trading. • Support governance and workflow adoption for the Aladdin migration and subsequent BAU rollouts. • Plan and coordinate UAT and data validation across front-office and BAU teams; define test strategies/cases, perform first-pass exception analysis, and document tolerances/sign-offs. • Create training plans, quick-reference guides, and adoption materials tailored to firm-specific workflows. • Collaborate with Middle Office and PMO on dependencies, issues, risks, and status reporting. • Produce clear artifacts (BRDs, user stories, process maps, RACIs, test plans, runbooks) and maintain end-to-end traceability. • Facilitate issue triage and defect resolution with technology and vendor teams; ensure production readiness and smooth transitions. Qualifications: • 5–8+ years as a Business Analyst in asset/investment management with recent, hands-on Aladdin functional work supporting front-office stakeholders. • Proven collaboration with portfolio managers, compliance, risk, and trading. • Working knowledge of fixed income instruments and OTC derivatives (lifecycle events, pricing, accruals). • Strong requirements, process design, and documentation skills (BRDs, user stories, BPMN/Visio). • Demonstrated UAT leadership: test planning, data validation/reconciliation, exception/tolerance documentation, stakeholder sign-offs. • Excellent facilitation and communication skills; able to translate business needs into actionable requirements and drive adoption across teams. • Self-starter comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Preferred: • Experience with Aladdin Accounting and familiarity with Aladdin Data Cloud. • Exposure to CADIS/Markit EDM (STAR)/FMC or similar investment data management tools. • Prior front- to middle-office migration experience and creation of process/training content beyond vendor materials.
