Business Analyst - Asset Management
Rate: £850 umbrella PD
Length: Initial 6 months
Location: City of London
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support front-to-back change initiatives across Front Office, Back Office, Regulatory, and Data domains. The role involves gathering and analysing business requirements, shaping solution design, and ensuring successful delivery within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse business processes and requirements across Front Office, Back Office, Regulatory, and Data functions.
• Produce core project documentation, including scopes, plans, business requirements, functional specifications, test cases, and operating models.
• Conduct functional testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Coordinate, facilitate, and lead meetings and workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Engage with external vendors, including running RFP/RFI assessments.
• Act as Scrum Master when needed—facilitating ceremonies, supporting sprint planning, and driving team delivery and continuous improvement.
• Provide project management support on selected initiatives depending on size and scope.
Experience & Skills Required
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within project-driven environments.
• Background in Asset Management is a must
• Knowledge of Fixed Income instruments, trade lifecycle, and wider asset management processes is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience working closely with software delivery and development teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Solid understanding of IT systems, data structures, and databases.
• Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to present information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Good SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
